The Wabash College tennis team traveled to Holland, Michigan on Saturday. The Little Giants lost 7-0 to Hope College in the morning match, followed by a 5-2 loss against Wheaton College in the afternoon.
Two freshmen picked the victories for Wabash in the Wheaton match. Adam Van Zee (Logansport, IN/Logansport) took a 7-6, 6-1 win at number five singles for Wabash. Nathan Mullendore (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at number six singles.
The Little Giants fall to 8-11 for the season in dual matches. Wabash will participate in the Great Lakes Colleges Association Tennis Tournament next weekend. The two-day tournament will be played at Oberlin College in Ohio.
