Thinclads Sixth At NCAC Relays

The Wabash track and field team grabbed sixth place at the annual North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Relays held Saturday at Denison University.

Jared Smit (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) and Mark Sherer (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso) paired to take first place in the 5000 meter relay with a time of 31:36.7. Smit had the fastest individual time in the race with a 15:31.4, while Sherer's time of 16:07.4 was fifth fastest.

Peter DeYoung (Evansville, IN) and Brent Bridwell (Crawfordsville, IN) took second in the high jump relay. DeYoung cleared 6'6" for the second consecutive week, combining with Bridwell to reach 12' 6".
