Jackson Named NCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Wabash College freshman pole vaulter Jared Jackson (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Jackson earned the honor after clearing 14 feet, 2-1/2 inches, tying his season-best effort while finishing sixth at the Millikin University Track and Field Classic on Saturday. He is the third Wabash track and field athlete to earn Athlete of the Week recognition from the conference. Senior Dan Ruge (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) and freshman Nathan Bates (Ossian, IN/Norwell) were named to the honor over the past three weeks. Ruge won for a first place finish in the 1500-meter run at the Gerald England Invitational. Bates won back-to-back awards for his performances in the 400 meters.
