Eight Incoming Freshmen Play in Indiana All-Star Game

For eight players in Saturday’s Methodist Sports Medicine Center Indiana North-South All-Star Classic, their final game representing their various high schools was also a chance to meet their future teammates.

Brandon Neighbors (Rockport, IN/South Spencer), Andy Deig (Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial), Jared Lange (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North), Keenan Wilson (Pittsboro, IN/Tri-West Hendricks), and T.J. Siple (Pittsboro, IN/Tri-West Hendricks) were all in uniform for the South All-Stars. Matt Cowan (Crown Point, IN/Crown Point), Bart Banach (Munster, IN/Munster), and Brian Hilts (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) were on the North squad. All eight have been accepted to Wabash College as part of the upcoming freshmen class and plan to play football for the Little Giants.

Siple threw a 27-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to cut the South’s deficit to two points. Banach had one catch for 14 yards in the game. Lange saw plenty of action on defense, keeping the South All-Stars in the game. But the North came away with a 23-21 victory.
