Wabash in Vanity Fair?

Professor Bill Placher ’70 passed this news to WM:

“The new issue of Vanity Fair has an article about Eleanor Lambert, a publicist for the fashion industry who died last year in her late 90s. She created and, for 50 years, maintained the ‘Best Dressed Women’ list. Turns out she grew up in Crawfordsville and, so the article reports, her first job was making up sandwiches for Wabash students.

“This is the only connection between Wabash and 'best dressed' we are likely to find."
