DeYoung took first place in the high jump at the University of Chicago Invitational on Saturday. He cleared 6'8" to win the event and reach the NCAA provisional qualifying height. DeYoung finished third in the long jump with a leap of 20' 7-3/4" and was seventh in the triple jump (37' 9-1/4").
DeYoung, a letterwinner as a frehsman member of the Wabash track and field team, is an English major and is a Presidential and Leadership Scholar. He is the son of Dan and Julie DeYoung of Evansville, IN.
