Here are the recommended instruments:

FSSE

The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE), in its pilot test form, is a 71-item survey "designed to measure faculty expectations for student engagement in educational practices that are known to be empirically linked with high levels of learning and development."  (National Survey of Student Engagement, 2003).

NSSE

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is designed to obtain, on an annual basis, information from scores of colleges and universities nationwide about student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. (National Survey of Student Engagement, 2003).

MMO

The Measure of Moral Orientation (MMO) is an instrument that measures the ethics of care and justice as typically associated with the work of Lawrence Kohlberg and Carol Gilligan.  It is an 89-item self-report inventory that is "designed to assess the moral orientation of college students" (Liddell, Halpin & Halpin, 1992, p. 325).
