Wabash Soccer Falls in Road NCAC Match at Denison

Two first-half goals by the Denison Big Red proved to be too much for the Wabash College soccer team to overcome on Saturday. The Little Giants dropped a 3-0 decision to the Big Red in North Coast Athletic Conference soccer action.

Denison's Chad Huber scored his first of two goals in the match in the 16th minute, taking a rebound off of Wabash goalkeeper Will McAdams (JR/Carmel, IN/Carmel) and putting it into the back of the net for the eventual game winner. Huber added an insurance goal late in the match for the third of the game for the Big Red. Chris Dayer scored in the 19th minute for Denison, as well.

The Little Giants had seven shots on goal, but could not get anything past Denison goalkeeper Ben Stevens. Junior Jeff Diebel (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) peppered six shots in the match, including four on net, but was unable to score. McAdams finished with nine saves in 90 minutes of work for Wabash.

The Little Giants fall to 2-5-1 with the loss and see their conference record move even at 1-1. Wabash will play Anderson University at home on Wednesday afternoon in a 3:30 p.m. contest.
