Harriers Finish Season With 13th-Place Finish at NCAA Regionals

The 2004 season came to an end Saturday for the Wabash cross country team with a 13th-place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional at Alma College in Alma, Michigan.

Wabash finished with 397 points, trailing 12th-place North Coast Athletic Conference rival Denison University by 18 points. The Little Giants tied with another NCAC team, Kenyon College, but won the sixth-man tiebreaker with a 144th place finish by senior Zach Eichel (Columbus, IN/Columbus North). Dennis Frazee (SO/Griffith, IN/Calumet) was the top individual finisher for the Little Giants, taking the 33rd spot with a time of 25:39. Dustin Beck (SO/New Carlisle, IN/New Prairie) was 82nd (26:43).

Charles Wohlhuter (JR/Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville South) took 91st place with a time of 26:56. Teammate Ben Bly (FR/Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) was a step behind, finishing 92nd with the exact same time. Ethan Paul (JR/Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial) was the final scorer for the team, finishing 99th after crossing the finish line in 27:00.
