Little Giants Ranked Fifth in Latest CollegeSwimming.com Poll

The Wabash College swimming and diving team is ranked fifth in latest CollegeSwimming.com Division III men's team poll, released December 12.

The Little Giant tankers totaled 205.40 points, trailing only Emory (237.98), Kenyon (232.46), Johns Hopkins (213.42), and New York University (212.54) in the overall team rankings.

 

 

"I am very pleased with the work we have put in this semester," said head coach Peter Casares. "The amount of guys swimming lifetime bests, and the fact that our relays are approaching national-level standards, is exciting, especially at the midway point of the season. However, the training that lies ahead is our most important, and we are going to have to stay focused in order for us to truly know what a great team can achieve."

The Little Giants return to the water January 18 with a home dual meet against Washington University (St. Louis). The Battling Bears are ranked eighth in the latest poll with 197.42 points. Wabash will train in Florida December 27 through January 8 before returning to campus to prepare for the meet the 18th.
