Healy Tops The List

Wabash senior wrestler Chris Healy (Jasper, IN/Jasper) is ranked number one in the nation at 174 pounds in the latest Brute/Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III poll, released Wednesday afternoon.

Healy is 28-1 on the season. His only loss of the year came in the championship bout of the Midwest Wrestling Classic in January, where he lost a 6-4 decision to the number one ranked wrestler at 174 pounds in Division II, Ashland's Tommy Bauer.

Healy broke the Wabash career victory total earlier this season. He has recorded 142 wins in his four years on the mat. He set the single-season mark for wins last year, going 44-5 while earning his second trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship meet. Healy earned All-American honors as a sophomore, finishing eighth at 174 pounds.

Wabash moved up one spot to 20th in the latest team poll, also released Wednesday.
