Medeiros Named NCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Wabash junior guard Kyle Medeiros (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis) has been named the North Coasth Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The six-foot guard led the Little Giants in scoring in games against Ohio Wesleyan and Denison last week to earn the honor. He scored 16 to pace Wabash in its 60-53 win over OWU, and had a career-best 23 in the Little Giants' 93-83 double-overtime victory at Denison. The two wins helped Wabash take over sole possession of third place in the NCAC standings with a league mark of 9-5.

Medeiros averaged 19.5 points in the two games, shooting .650 from the field (13-of-20) with three three-pointers. He went 10-of-13 from the free throw line while adding eight rebounds, an assist, and three steals to his season totals. He was 8-of-13 from the field in the Denison game after going 5-of-7 against the Battling Bishops Wednesday night.

Medeiros leads the team in scoring with 10.3 points-per-game average.
