Tennis Team Loses to Earlham in Conference Contest

Wabash lost its first North Coast Athletic Conference Western Division tennis match of the season Wednesday, falling 5-2 to Earlham College at the Collett Tennis Center.

Senior Nathan Cain (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) picked up one of the points for the Little Giants, recording a come-from-behind 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 win at number two singles. Sophomore Nathan Mullendore (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) took a 6-4, 6-2 win at number six singles.

The doubles team of Brett Bishop (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) and Dan Petrie (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) won their fourth match of the season without a loss with a 9-7 win at number three doubles.

The Little Giants will travel to Danville, Kentucky for a head-to-head match against Centre College next Tuesday at 3 p.m. before returning to the Collet Center for a 5:15 p.m. contest March 9 against the University of Indianapolis.
