The North Coast Athletic Conferences baseball coaches have picked the Wabash College team to finish sixth in their annual preseason poll, released Tuesday.

The Little Giants received 54 points in the poll. Wooster, the defending conference champion, was picked to win the league title again this year, receiving 99 points and nine first-place votes. Denison, the defending NCAC Western Division champion, received one first-place vote and 85 total points. Allegheny was third (74 points), followed by Ohio Wesleyan (69) and Wittenberg (60). Hiram (45), Kenyon (26), Earlham (22), and Oberlin (16) round out the coaches' picks.

Wabash was 16-24 in 2004, finishing 6-10 in the NCAC West. The Little Giants have opened the 2005 campaign with a 4-0 mark after sweeping doubleheaders from Wisconsin Lutheran and Monmouth in Florida during their annual spring break trip.
