Wabash junior John Thiry (Grand Rapids, MI/Grand Rapids Christian) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Thiry earned the honor after tossing a one-hitter against Earlham College Saturday. He gave up a lead-off double to the Quakers' Kevin Carr to start the game, then retired 21 of the next 25 hitters that came to the plate. He earned his third win of the season and lowered his season ERA to 1.95.
Thiry finished the seven-inning contest with seven strikeouts, one walk, and two hit batsmen.
