Wabash sophomore Nathan Bates (Ossian, IN/Norwell) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week.
Bates earned the award after running a season-best 49.32 to finish second in the 400-meter dash at the William Welch Invitational at Rose-Hulman Saturday. Bates, the defending NCAC champion in the 400, ran the third leg of the Little Giants' winning 4 X 400-meter relay team, finishing in 3:32.55.
