Tennis Team Seventh At GLCA Tournament

Wabash played to a seventh-place finish at the Great Lakes College Association Men’s Tennis Tournament held Friday and Saturday at Denison University.

The Little Giants opened the tournament Friday morning against the fourth-seeded Kenyon Lords, losing 4-0. On Friday evening Wabash and Oberlin met, with the Yeomen taking a 4-1 victory. Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) won at No. 4 singles in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).

On Saturday the Little Giant netters faced Albion College, shutting out the Britons 4-0. Altman and Todd Witte (Grand Rapids, MI/West Catholic) were 8-4 winners at No. 3 doubles. Scott Paramoure (Logansports, IN/Logansport) and Brian Miller (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) took an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, and Constantine Alexander (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) and Andrew Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) were 8-5 winners at No. 2 doubles.
