The Armory computer lab will be closed Wednesday, July 20 and reopen Monday, August 1. At that time we will be upgrading the Armory lab with new computers, new carpet, and repainting. We have also recently installed a new air conditioner in the lab.
During this work, computers will be available for use in the study lounge in the Armory basement, at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the Armory lab. Prior to start of school, additional computers will be installed in the study lounge, significantly increasing the number of computers that are available to students 24 hours/day.
In all, the number of computers available in the armory will increase from 19 (14 PCs and 5 Macs) to 27 (24 PCs and 3 Macs). The study lounge and the computer lab will both have printers, and all armory computers will be able to print to either printer.
Many of these improvements are in response to the student technology survey, in which 54% of students indicated there were not enough computers in the Armory Lab.
