Media Center Announces Faculty Technology Workshops

To introduce new and returning faculty to the Media Center we offer a series of short workshops that highlight the technologies and programs available to faculty that want to use instructional technology in their teaching.  All classes will take place in the Lilly Library next to the reference desk unless othewise noted.  A schedule of these workshops can be downloaded here.

Teaching with Technology
An introduction to the opportunities available to you through the Media Center to incorporate uses of instructional technology into your teaching.  This is a good time to bring your ideas and talk with other faculty about what they are doing.

Introduction to Virtual Media Reserves
An overview of the VMR, a comprehensive, organized delivery tool for instructional media.

Videograpphy Workshop - in the Media Center
Learn the basics of good videography so you can shoot professional looking video for your class and save hours of post production time.

Introduction to iMovie and iDVD
Think you don't have the skills to produce a video?  There is no simplier way than using iMovie and iDVD.  Learn the basics in just an few hours!

August 17, Wednesday - 10:00 am to noon

Introduction to Blackboard
Learn the basics of using Blackboard a web-based software system which is used to support flexible teaching and learning.
