Wabash Golf Team Grabs Eighth Place At Anderson

The Wabash College golf team finished in eighth place out of 14 teams at the Anderson Invitational held Sunday and Monday (4/9-10) at the Killbuck Golf Course and the Anderson Country Club.

The Little Giants put together their best performance of the season, defeating several teams that had already posted wins against Wabash earlier in the season.

James Lisher (Shelbyville, IN/Indiana Academy) had the lowest two-day score for the Little Giants. The junior golfer fired an 84 on Sunday, followed by an 80 on Monday for a two-day total of 164. Joe Mills (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) had the lowest round for Wabash as he shot a 79 on Monday. His 88 on Sunday gave Mills a two-day total of 167.

Travis Daugherty (Elwood, IN/Elwood) shot 171 with an 85 on Sunday and an 86 on Monday. Rob McCourt (Greenwood, IN/Center Grove) finished with an 82 for the first round and an 87 for the second for a 169 total. Adam Berry (Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial) completed the five-man team for Wabash, finishing with a score of 82-87 for a 169 two-day total.

Wabash will travel to Wooster, OH this weekend to compete in the Parlor/Bank One Wooster Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, to be held at the Wooster Country Club.
