Wabash Falls in Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic

Wabash played Rose-Hulman in the annual Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic on Sunday, as the Engineers handed Wabash an 8-1 loss. The match play event was the final match of the season for the team.

Sophomore Charlie Renie (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) picked up the only victory for Wabash, winning his head-to-head match against Nick Brown of Rose-Hulman one up.

"Five of the nine matches came down to the results of the final hole," said head golf coach Joe Bevelhimer. "It was a close match all the way, and could have gone either way."
