Soccer Opens Conference Season With 2-1 OT Win at Kenyon

A goal by senior Aaron Kunkle (Ft. Wayne, IN/Concordia Lutheran) in the second overtime Saturday gave Wabash a 2-1 victory at Kenyon to open North Coast Athletic Confernce men's soccer action.

Kunkle scored the game-winner in the 108th minute of the match to give the Little Giants their second win of the season. He also scored the first goal for Wabash in the 41st minute, taking a pass from Chris Kiester (Winter Haven, FL/Canterbury, IN) to beat the Lords' goalkeeper.

C.P. Waite scored for Kenyon with less than two minutes left in regulation to send the match to sudden death overtime. Wabash got a shot on goal in the first extra period before winning the match on Kunkle's shot in the second overtime.

Senior Will McAdams (Carmel, IN/Carmel) turned aside four of five shots by Kenyon in the match to notch his second win in net for the Little Giants.

Wabash (2-5, 1-0 NCAC) returns to action Wednesday afternoon at home for a 4 p.m. matcha gainst rival DePauw University.
