Six Little Giants Run Season-Best Times at Notre Dame Invite

The final team scores will show Wabash in 26th place at the 2005 Notre Dame Invitational, but for six Little Giant runners it was the best meet of the season.
 
Junior Dustin Beck (New Carlisle, IN/New Prairie), freshman Sam Compton-Craig (Tipton, IN/Tipton), and senior Ethan Paul (Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial) all scored for the Red Pack while finishing with their best times of the season. Beck was 157th in the race with a time of 27:49, cutting eight seconds off his previous best mark. Compton-Craig finished 164th with a time of 27:54, four seconds faster than his top mark this year. Paul had the best cut of the group, touring the course in 28:28 to better his top performance this year by 42 seconds.
 
Sophomore Geoff Lambert (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) cut 35 seconds off his time with a finishing mark of 28:50. Hugh Jackson (FR/Ft. Wayne, IN/South) finished in 29:07, trimming 31 seconds off his season-best effort. Matt Maher (SO/Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) was 19 seconds faster with a time of 30:15.
 
Dennis Frazee (JR/Griffith, IN/Calumet) was the top runner for the Little Giant with a 157th place finish (27:49).
 
Wabash will participate in the Manchester Invitational Saturday, October 15.
