Little Giants Enter The Polls at 24th

The Wabash football team entered the national rankings for the first time this season, receiving 122 points in the American Football Coaches Association Division III Coaches' Poll to enter at 24th.

The Little Giants, ranked second in the nation in scoring defense with an average of 5.8 points per game allowed and third in the nation in rushing defense (54.4 ypg), are 5-0 after Saturday's 42-7 victory over Oberlin College. Wabash travels to Ohio for a North Coast Athletic Conference game against the College of Wooster this week. The Fighting Scots were ranked 15th in the AFCA poll and 24th in the d3football.com poll before losing 24-21 to Kenyon College last Saturday.

Wabash was 5-0 and ranked in both polls last year prior to a 33-30 loss to Wooster that started the Little Giants on a three-game losing skid, eventually dropping four of its last five games to finish 6-4.

The Little Giants are not ranked in the latest d3football.com poll, but did receive 21 votes.
