Soccer Drops 4-0 Match to Allegheny

Three first period goals proved to be the difference Saturday afternoon in the Wabash soccer team's 4-0 loss to the Allegheny College Gators.

A sunny, pleasant morning at Mud Hollow Field turned sour early when Alan Carr scored the first goal of the match to give Allegheny a 1-0 lead. Carr picked up an assist six minutes later on a Mark Dobish goal to make it 2-0. The Gators added a third goal just before the end of the half before scoring for a final time in the 60th minute.

Senior goalkeeper Will McAdams (Carmel, IN/Carmel) had four saves in the contest. The Little Giants had seven shots and four shots on goal, including two shots at the net by sophomore Gary Simkus (Highland, IN/Highland).

Wabash falls to 5-11 and 2-5 in the North Coast Athletic Conference with the loss. The Little Giants will play their final two home matches of the season this week with a Wednesday meeting with Wittenberg at 3 p.m. before ending the season Saturday with a 1 p.m. match against Denison
