The Wabash College football team is ranked 22nd in the latest d3football.com poll, released Sunday evening.
The Little Giants are 7-0 and 4-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play after defeating Wittenberg University 26-20 Saturday. Wabash has two remaining conference games this season. The Little Giants travel to Allegheny College Saturday before concluding the NCAC schedule against Denison at home Nov. 5.
The entry into the d3football.com poll marks a return to the top-25 by the Little Giants for the first time since starting 5-0 last year, moving to 23rd in the web site poll. Wabash then dropped three straight games in 2004 on the way to a 6-4 finish for the year.
The Little Giants were 21st in the American Football Coaches Association coaches' poll last week. A new AFCA poll will be released Tuesday morning.
The d3football.com poll is selected by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors, and media members across the nation and is released each Sunday evening during the season.
