Wabash Coach Chris Creighton said it would be a war – and he wasn’t wrong. Wabash and Wittenberg played a great game – a back and forth struggle that wasn’t decided until late in the fourth quarter. Wabash came away with a well deserved and hard fought victory, 26-20.
It was another great fall day for football. The rain stayed away and the temperature crept into the 50s – just exactly what you would suspect for October in Indiana.
Pre-game tailgating was alive and well as every possible parking place around Jennison Street was full. People were having fun but everyone knew it would be a tough game for the Little Giants.
Wabash’s last home game of the regular season will be November 5, 2005 against Denison.
