Wabash Loses 3-2 in Match against Taylor

On a day that was anything but normal, Wabash College and Taylor University tried to return some normalcy for 90 minutes as the two schools met on the soccer pitch in Crawfordsville. Taylor came away with a 3-2 win.

Dan Schubert (Lebanon, IL/Lebanon) scored both goals for the Little Giants. The freshman forward scored his first goal with thirty minutes left in the match on a pass from Adam Reisig (Kansas City, MO/Baker College) to cut the Wabash deficit to 2-1. Taylor added a third goal 14 minutes later to take a 3-1 lead. Schubert added his fourth goal of the season to pull Wabash to within one goal. But the Little Giants could not tie the match in the final minutes.

Wabash had 19 shots in the game. Taylor finished with 24 shots. Both teams had eight shots on goal.

Wabash (2-2) will travel to Hiram to begin North Coast Athletic Confernce play on Saturday.
