Little Giants Ranked Second in NCAA Regional Poll

Wabash, 7-0 overall and 6-0 in regional play, have been ranked second in the first NCAA Division III North Region Football poll.

The Little Giants were picked second behind North Central (7-0, 5-0 regionally) in the first poll, released today by the Division III football selection committee. Ohio Northern (6-1, 6-1 region) is third, followed by Mount Union (6-1, 5-1), Augustana (6-1, 5-1), John Carroll (6-1,
6-1), Mount St. Joseph (6-1, 6-1), Carthage (5-2, 5-2), Otterbein (5-2, 5-2), and Capital (5-2, 5-2).

Wabash travels to Allegheny College for a North Coast Athletic Conference game Saturday before closing the league season with a game against Denison at home next Saturday. The Little Giants will play DePauw in the 112th Monon Bell Classic at Greencastle November 12 in the regular season finale.

The 2005 NCAA Division III playoff selection announcement is set for Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. on ESPNews. The 32-team field will begin playoff action Saturday, November 19.
