Family Day at Wabash Scheduled for This Weekend

Wabash College will honor the families of Wabash students on Saturday, November 5, when it celebrates Family Day.

The agenda for the day includes:

9 a.m.-12 noon: Open reception for parents and families of Wabash students in the Caleb Mills House. Food and refreshments will be provided.

9 a.m.: Campus Tours. Tours will be led by the Sons of Wabash and will depart from the Caleb Mills House

10-10:45 a.m.: Information session on the Off-Campus Studies Program by David Clapp in Baxter Hall, room 101. Find out how many Wabash students study off-campus, what the rules are for who can go, where they go, and hear from the students themselves about their experiences and get the opportunity to ask questions.

11-11:45 a.m.: Information session titled "How WabashWorks! for Students: Connecting Students with Alumni Mentors, Internships, Job Search Strategies and Pre-Health Advising" in Baxter Hall, room 101. New and exciting changes are happening in the Schroeder Center for Career Development. Learn how the new Alumni Mentor program allows student to network with alumni through WabashWorks! Become connected through the new bi-weekly Outcomes e-newsletter that features internship information, highlights alumni success stories, answers career questions, and includes a calendar of events. Explore and learn about Pre-Health fields from the Pre-Health Advisor. Also, meet the new Director, new Assistant Director, new Pre-Health Advisor, and new Internship Coordinator.

1 p.m. Football Game — Wabash Little Giants vs. Denison in Byron P. Hollett Little Giant Stadium. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and can be purchased at the gate. Seniors will be introduced with members of their families prior to kickoff.

1 p.m. Swimming Meet — Wabash Little Giants vs. Rose-Hulman in the Allen Athletics Center Natatorium. Free and open to the public.

4 p.m. Wrestling Alumni Red-White Meet in Chadwick Court in the Allen Athletics Center

8 p.m. Family Day Concert featuring the Music Department at Wabash College. Salter Hall, Fine Arts Center. Free and open to the public.

Please join Wabash as we celebrate the families of Wabash students. All events are open to the public.
