This Is A Test Story for Career Services

When Barron Hewetson isn’t busy studying or swimming for the Wabash College swim team he enjoys playing Texas hold’em poker with his fellow fraternity brothers.

"You don’t find yourself having much free time at Wabash because they expect so much out of you in the classroom, but when you do find yourself having a little time to spare I like to spend having fun with my closest friends" the Bedford, Indiana native said.

In addition to being a member of the Beta Theta Phi fraternity and the Wabash College swim team Baron is also involved in a plethora of other campus activities.  Barron is the historian for the College Republicans, a member of the bass and fishing club, and he is also involved in the Pre-law society.

"It is rough being so heavily involved on campus," the psychology and religion double major said, "but it is really worth it because it all teaches you to balance your time."

Barron, who is the 2004 valedictorian of Bedford Lawrence North High School, also received the Lawrence County Lilly Community Scholarship, and decided to come to Wabash College because if was a perfect fit for him.

"Once I received the Lilly Scholarship I knew I had to go somewhere in Indiana. I have a best friend who goes here and he told me to come stay with him and I did and after that I knew this is where I wanted to go," Hewetson said.
