From the Chapel

"I believe that to question something need not always be seen as an attack on it. Ultimately, learning should not be analogous to a battle where we have attackers and defenders and where only one side wins. I see it as a common exploration of interesting and vexing problems by people who bring a variety of perspectives to the enterprise.

As your teachers, we are each trying to play our part in this process called liberal education, trying to make our presence felt. Your job is to keep us all at a reasonable distance so you can compare and contrast the implicit and explicit values we are trying to transmit, and figure out what seems right for you. It is your education."
