Freshman Jay Horrey won his first singles match, giving the Wabash tennis team its only point in a 6-1 loss at Southwestern University Tuesday afternoon. The Little Giants are playing in Texas during their spring break trip.
Horrey won in straight sets, taking a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory in the first flight of singles. He also combine with Adam Van Zee for an 8-4 win at first doubles, but Wabash lost the remaining doubles matches to Southwestern.
The Little Giants conclude their trip Wednesday with a match at the University of Texas at Dallas.
