Wabash freshman Jay Horrey improved to 10-3 at number one singles to lead the Little Giants to a 5-2 victory over Rose-Hulman Wednesday night.
Horrey won in straight sets (6-4, 6-1) to defeat Joe Rottmann at first singles. Junior Paul Prosinski added a dominating 6-2, 6-1 victory at fourth singles. Freshman Sean Clerget moved to 8-5 at fifth singles with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Danile LaPlante. Nathan Mullendore added another point to the team total with a three-set (5-7, 6-4, 6-4) win in the sixth flight of singles play.
Horrey and Clerget combined for an 8-4 win at number two doubles, while Prosinski and Daniel Petrie secured the doubles team point with an 8-2 win at third doubles.
Wabash (5-8) will serve as host for the annual Kerry Seward Memorial Tennis Tournament this weekend at the Collett Tennis Center.
