Golf Team Opens Season With Fourth-Place Finish at Millikin

Freshman Jordan Vice fired a two-round total of 149 to help the Little Giant golf team to a fourth place finish at the Millikin Spring Opener.

Vice scored a 76 in the opening round Friday before trimming three strokes off his score Saturday, shooting a 73 to finish tied for third in the individual results. JP Manalo tied for 15th, scoring a total of 156 strokes (77-79). His second round score tied for Saturday's lowest round.

Aaron Selby shot a 159 (80-79). Elliot Vice finished with a 165 (82-83), while Bryan Arnold had a 167 (84-83).

Millikin won the event with a 606. Lindenwood was second (618), followed by Maryville (622) and Wabash (629). Monmouth College (631) and Springfield Community College (631) tied for fifth place.

The Little Giants will play host to Rose-Hulman Thursday when the two teams play in the Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic at the Crawfordsville Country Club.
