Wabash students or alumni who have a business idea and need a boost to get it off the ground will have a unique opportunity this summer.
The Idea Accelerator Initiative will be tailored for a Wabash audience July 6 and 7 in Indianapolis. Dr. Donald Kuratko has developed the Idea Accelerator Initiative and has agreed to do a two-day group seminar for Wabash College.
Kuratko is The Jack M. Gill Chair of Entrepreneurship, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Executive Director of The Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
The program has been customized for the Wabash undergraduate who has a business idea he wishes to bring to life. It’s an opportunity for an entrepreneur to gain the knowledge and skills they will need to proceed with their idea. Kuratko, assisted by entrepreneurial experts from around the country, will lead attendees through the steps require to develop a business idea.
There is a very limited space available for Wabash alumni. Those interested in attending the program must fill out an application and include a description of their idea. Applications are due April 14. Attendees will be chosen by April 21.
The seminar will be presented at the I.U. Emerging Technology Center at Indianapolis.
Through a grant from The Lilly Endowment Inc., there is no fee for the program. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day. However, lodging will be each attendee’s responsibility.
