Netters Sweep Manchester With 9-0 Win

Wabash won all nine tennis matches Wednesday night, taking a 9-0 victory at Manchester to earn its seventh win of the season.

The Little Giants opened with a sweep of the doubles matches. Jay Horrey and Adam Van Zee combined for an 8-3 victory at first doubles. Sean Clerget and Adrian Starnes never dropped a game in their second flight of doubles, winning 8-0. Daniel Petrie and PT Prosinski repeated the perfect match with an 8-0 win at third doubles.

Horrey opened singles play with a straight set 6-2, 6-0 win in the first flight. Josh Paul kept the Little Giants undefeated with a 6-3, 6-0 win at second singles. Starnes only dropped one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles. Prosinski won at fourth singles (6-2, 6-3), as did Clerget in his fifth singles match (6-3, 6-0). Nathan Mullendore completed the team sweep with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at sixth singles.

Wabash will compete at the GLCA Tennis Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Kenyon College.
