Tennis Finishes Tenth at GLCA Tourney

For the second match in a row, one point kept the Wabash tennis from victory at the 2006 Great Lakes Colleges Association Tennis Tournament. The Little Giants lost 4-3 to Ohio Wesleyan to finish tenth in the ten-team event, hosted by Kenyon College.

Jay Horrey won his 20th singles match of the season with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over David Kubacki in the first flight. Nathan Mullendore was the only other individual winner for the Little Giants, posting a three-set 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 win at sixth singles.

Adrian Starnes and Sean Clerget combined for an 8-4 win at second singles. PT Prosinski and Daniel Petrie were 9-8 winners at third doubles to secure the team point for Wabash.

The Little Giants (7-13) will play Hanover College Tuesday afternoon at the Collett Tennis Center at Wabash at 5 p.m.
