Wabash sophomore Geoff Lambert was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Middle Distance/Distance Runner of the Week for his performance at the 101st Indiana Intercollegiate Track and Field Championships Saturday.
The Chesterton, Indiana native won the 800-meter dash with a season-best time of 1:54.37, trimming over two seconds off his previous best effort. He was also the anchorman on the winning 4 X 400-meter relay team. The quartet of Bart Banach, Nathan Bates, Mike Russell, and Lambert won the event with a time of 3:18.93, over four seconds faster than the previous top mark of the year.
