Wabash sophomore Mike Russell has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Track and Field Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week.
Russell received the honor after winning the 400-meter dash at last Saturday's Wabash Invitational with a time of 49.22, the fastest of the year in the conference. Even more impressive, it marked the first time he had run the 400 meters race since high school.
Russell is a graduate of Terre Haute North High School.
