Jordan Blackwell, Veedersburg, plans to be on campus to do a lot of swimming, and perhaps work a campus job; Robert Bloss, Indianapolis, will work at a Christian Summer Camp near Seymour, IN.; David Braitman, Indianapolis, will have a summer internship at the Indiana Health Clinic with Dr. Chris Bojrab ’89.; Andrew Chelton, Terre Haute, In., will be working at Camp Shane, N.Y., a weight-loss camp featured in an MTV documentary: "True-life: I’m going to fat camp."; Brandon Christy, Valparaiso, In., participating in Ecuador program studying the Amazon. Then may work with his father in family cement business.; Timothy Closson, Denver, Co., will start his summer with the theater playwriting class trip to Scotland, travel to Arizona on a business trip, and work for Xcel Energy in Denver as a utility worker.;
Neil Cook, Evansville, In., will be headed to Germany as part of Professor Byrnes’ Immersion trip. He’ll stay a few days over to visit friends in Munich then return to his hometown in search of a summer job.; Shawn Crane, Palm Harbor, Fla., will work as a summer camp counselor and doing landscaping for a Realtor. He will also be working in several political campaigns.; Duncan Dam, Hanoi, Vietnam, will be doing chemistry research with Dr. Porter.; Tim Deal, Danville, In., will be working in Yosemite National Park, Ca., for Virginia Lakes Pack Outfit. Shayne Dube, Indianapolis, Know Indiana Internship with Dr. Tim Lake.; Josh Gangloff, Lawrenceburg, will work sales for his father at Riverside Electric; Brent Graham, Fort Wayne, will be lifeguarding and coaching a summer swim team at Fort Wayne country Club.; Kyle Greaves, Brentwood, Tn., has a paid internship with a family friend’s advertising business, and has a two-week Mediterranean Cruise.; Royce Gregerson, Ft. Wayne, will be an assistant counselor at Culver Summer Camp. He’ll supervise 40-50 teens and teach two periods a day. Patrick Drake ’06. Gregerson’s pledge father, helped Royce land the position.; Emanuel Harper, Indianapolis, has a summer internship at the Center of Inquiry; Sam Hatch, Nesbit, Ms., will be a youth intern at an Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tn. The group will go on several mission trips varying from Mexico, Florida, and inner city Memphis.;
John Higgins, Greenfield, In., will do IT work at an Indianapolis company. He also does programming and marketing for an Indianapolis paintball company (www.haterpaintball.com). He’ll travel for Hater Paintball to events in Boston, San Diego, and the Caribbean.; Stephen Iles, Mascoutah, Ill., will be helping with summer wrestling and football camps in his hometown, and attend wrestling camps on campus.; Benjamin Johnson, Frederick Md., has plans to work at Yosemite National Park.; James Leuk, Lafayette, has internship in the Admissions office, and will be swimming for Sugar Creek Swim Club.; Justin Liedel, Advance, N.C., has summer internship at Center of Inquiry.; Derek Lough, Bloomington-Normal, Ill., will have an internship at the General Lew Wallace Museum, Crawfordsville. Derek will serve as Director of Projects, researching property law and setting up the business plan for the museum’s gift shop.;
Travis Janeway, Allen, Tx., will wait tables at a Chili’s, relax on the lake and workout for football.; Michael Keeler, Evanston, Ill., will be working as a swim instructor.; Brian Maloney, Crown Point, In., will be working for Lambert Concrete owned by Brad Lambert ’92.; Caleb Mast, Kokomo, will work at American Party Time in his hometown.; Dan Masterson, South Bend, In., will be coaching some summer camps, construction work, restaurant work, and developing a business with a couple of pledge brothers.; Ross McKinney, Cicero, In., has internship at Indiana’s Public Employee’s Retirement Fund offices in Indianapolis.; K. Kevin McLaughlin, Batavia, Oh., will be traveling to Scotland for the Theatre Immersion trip and then turn around and join the Glee Club for the UK tour, will coach Little League baseball.;
Xianwei (Victor) Meng, China, will spend part of summer in rural China with Dreams Corp which helps less-fortunate children with education opportunities. Meng will also have an internship at Guotai Junan Securities Co. in Tianjin as a stockbroker.; Mitch Miles, Crawfordsville, working at RR Donnelley printing in Crawfordsville; Nick Molby, Avon, In., will be volunteering and working for Clarian Hospital in Avon, and swimming with his hometown club team. He also has a summer trip to Hawaii planned.; J.T. Moore, Crawfordsville, plans on lots of summer baseball, and perhaps hanging gutters for a friend’s business.; David Peden, Ft. Wayne, was finalizing details to shadow a Wabash alum who is an anesthesiologist. He has a backup job as an auto mechanic.; Chad Peterman, Indianapolis, is part of the football team’s trip to Panama. He also plans to be lifting over the summer and enjoying his family’s lake house.;
Nathan Peterson, Shenandoah, Ia., will be a pharmacy technician, waiter in Omaha, Neb., and doing some lifeguarding.; Adam Pilli, Cary, ,Ill., will be working for a moving company in his hometown and hopes to get some boating into his summer.; Wes Prichard, Shelbyville, has a summer internship at the Center of Inquiry.; Stephen Prunier, Noblesville, will work at Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, in the statistical analysis department.; Mitchel Rivers, Tipton, has a summer job lined up with plans for visiting friends.; Travis Smith, Fort Wayne, will be working for Chore-Time Brock Inc., (produces systems to help improve the efficiency animals convert feed into protein) and coaching a Babe Ruth baseball team; Juan Carlos Venis, West Lafayette, will be going to Ecuador in the field observation module. When he returns he’ll be volunteering and shadowing doctors. Venis will also be teaching Spanish to some of his mother’s students from a Spanish Club in West Lafayette elementary schools.;
Kevin Wasie, Cleveland, Ohio, will continue an internship with The Livingston Group at Smith Barney in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He will focus on developing a marketing model, and IT consulting. He’s also developing an intranet program for organizational logistics, concentrating on Green house and college clubs.; Asher Weaver, Indianapolis, will be studying in the Wabash Ecuador Program in the field observation module. He will also be working as a server in Abuelos.; Nick Whoehle, Evansville, will be participating in the Wabash Ecuador Program then returning to his home to work at a YMCA.; Ted Zimmer, Mendham, NJ., will be participating in an internship at Voltaix with a dual marketing/business law program. Two Wabash alums will be involved in the summer experience, including Matthew Stephens ’91 who is the company’s COO.
