Horrey Named NCAC Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year

Freshman Jay Horrey has been named the 2006 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. Horrey also received First Team All-NCAC honors from the conference coaches.

The New Albany native set a Wabash record for single season victories, going 25-6 in singles play. His 25 victories were also the most by any player on the All-Conference team and includes a straight-sets 7-5, 6-4 win over 2006 Player of the Year Jordan Buehler, a freshman from Denison University, and a three-set win (2-6, 6-4, 6-3) over nationally-ranked Kortney Keith from DePauw.
