The email system upgrade was completed successfully last night. You should now be able to read and send email, but may need to take additional steps to have full email access, as described below.
1. When sending a message to another person at Wabash, you must use their full email address; i.e. you must address the message to helpdesk@wabash.edu instead of just helpdesk, or weaverb@wabash.edu instead of just weaverb.
2. You may see a message in your mail folders now "Fwd: DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA". This is a hold-over from the previous email system (it was hidden automatically on the old system). You can safely delete this message, or you can leave it there; it won't hurt anything either way.
3. In Webmail, you will have to resubscribe to your mail folders. To do this, log into Webmail, click "Folders" at the top, scroll down to the "subscribe/unsubscribe" section. Highlight all the folders in the right section and click "Subscribe". All folders should move to the left section. Then, click "refresh folder list" at the top of the screen, and all your folders will be back. Click on "Inbox" on the left to return to your email.
4. If you do not see mail folders in your desktop email client (e.g. Eudora, Thunderbird, or Outlook), you may need to change a setting for your IMAP folder location. Instructions for each email client are posted on our web site:

If you have other questions or problems, please call or email the help desk (helpdesk@wabash.edu, x6400). Due to expected high call volume on June 27, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible.
