Juniors Gary Simkus and Ryan Leagre were joined by freshman Luis Quiroga on the 2006 Jimmy Mills All-Tournament Team for their efforts over the weekend at the Haverford College tournament. Simkus' four-goal effort over two games last week earned him North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors.
Simkus scored three goals in the Little Giants' 4-1 victory over the host Fords Saturday afternoon to send Wabash into the championship match Sunday. He added the only goal of the match against Cabrini College in the final match of the tournament for a four-goal weekend. Earlier in the week he had a goal and an assist against Rose-Hulman to pick up the NCAC award.
Quiroga scored the first goal of the tournament for Wabash Saturday afternoon. He started both matches, finishing the weekend with ten total shots and four shots on goal.
Leagre also started both matches and was recognized for his defensive effort throughout the weekend.
