Economics Professor Joyce Burnette to Travel to Oxford, England to be Presenter at Workshop

Economics professor Joyce Burnette received a prestigious invitation to travel to Oxford, England to be a featured presenter at a workshop on the economics of women in England. Professor Burnette will give a paper titled "Were Women's Wages Customary?," a talk based on her extensive economic research of 96 English farms in the 18th and 19th centuries. She'll be attending a conference focusing on "Women's Industry, Women's Pay, and a Woman's Place during Industrialisation" hosted by All Souls College, Oxford. Burnette presented a condensed version of her paper at this summer's Ides of August.
