Pre-Law Society Joins Wabash Legal Professionals for Dinner

Wabash's Pre-Law Society had a unique opportunity last night when they were joined for dinner by a group of very successful Wabash alumni who have enjoyed a career in the law. The dinner offered the opportunity for our students to ask questions over a wide range of topics, from law school applications to how to pick a legal speciality.  Attending the dinner were:

Greg Castanias '87, Partner at Jones Day, Washington, DC

Jay Fisher '66, Partner at Fisher & Dickinson, P.C., Ada, MI

William I. Garrard '54, Judge, Indiana Court of Appeals

Scott Himsel '85, Partner at Baker & Daniels, Indianapolis, IN

E. Squier Neal '66, Senior Staff Counsel, Law Offices of Safeco Property and Casualty

Jon R. Pactor '71, Solo practitioner in Indianapolis, IN

Joe Emmick '92, Dean for College Advancement

The dinner was an idea originating from NAWM Board members Greg Castanias, Scott Himsel, and Jay Fisher.  Their concept was to be available, as advisors and mentors, to or young men considering the law profession.  By all accounts it was a fruitful evening.

Thanks as well to Jesse James '08, our current president of the Pre-Law Society, for organizing the dinner.
