Sugar Creek Banquet and Indianapolis Reception Draw Record Attendance

This year's Sugar Creek Association of Wabash Men's Fall Banquet drew the largest crowd in the history of the event.  It's not often that we have to close registration early for our events, but the organizers of this event, ran out of seats nearly one week before the event.

Local alumni, Wabash students, prospective students and their families were treated to an evening of fellowship and scholarhip courtesy of the SCAWM.  Along with dinner, those in attendance listened to a presentation from Associate Professor of Modern Languages Dan Rogers on the collaborative work of our students and faculty that has occured in Ecuador over the past few years.

Sunday afternoon, the Admissions Office hosted a reception at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Indianapolis for prospective students from the Indianapolis metro area.  Over 40 students and their parents joined us and had the opportunity to meet Wabash students, Wabash parents, faculty, staff and alumni.  A special thank you needs to be extended to the Indianapolis Association of Wabash Men for their support of Sunday's event.

Dr. Tim Lake, Shayne Dube '09, and Jon Pactor '71 presented along with Track and Cross County Coach, Rob Johnson H'77.  Coach Johnson fired up the crowd asking all the young men in attendance to join him in his "If it is to be, it is up to me!" chant.  It was great to see Coach Johnson working his magic again.
