Compton-Craig, Frazee Earn All-Region Honors

Sophomore Sam Compton-Craig and senior Dennis Frazee both picked up All-Region honors at Saturday's NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Cross Country Championships. The two athletes helped Wabash take ninth place out of 31 teams competing at the annual event.

Compton-Craig had the best individual performance with a 23rd-place finish. The Tipton, Indiana native finished the 8,000-meter race in 26:28.2. Frazee earned All-Region honors for the second time in his career with a 31st-place finish (26:44.9). His best finish prior to Saturday at a Regional had been 33rd in 2004, the first time he took a spot on the All-Region team.

Saturday marked the first time since 2001 the Little Giants have placed two runners on the All-Region squad. Jared Smit '02 and Mark Sherer '03 both earned All-Region honors at the 2001 championships.

Geoff Lambert was 45th (27:04.5). Micah Milliman finished 72nd (27:27.0), while Hugh Jackson completed the team scoring with his 88th-place finish (27:42.8).

Dustin Beck was 95th (27:48.1), and Matt Maher was 99th (27:52.9).
