Sophomore Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) took two victories at number one singles. He opened the morning session with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Manchester's Tom Flory, then earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Bobby Harwood of Franklin in the afternoon. Junior Scott Paramoure (New Brownfels, TX/New Brownfels) won both matches at number two singles before joining Lynch at number one doubles to earn two victories.
Andrew Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) also earned two victories in singles play for Wabash. Shelton was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at number four singles against Manchester, then took a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number three singles against Franklin.
Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes), Hadi Motiee (Muncie, IN/Muncie Burris), Cameron Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville), and Nathan Cain (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) also earned victories in singles play for Wabash. Altman and Starnes combined for two victories at number two doubles, while Shelton and Cain were winners at number three doubles against Manchester.
Wabash (2-0) will play its first North Coast Athletic Conference Western Division match on Wednesday, February 20 against Earlham College. The match begins at 4 p.m. at the Collett Tennis Center.
