Junior foward Andrew Zimmer has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Zimmer led Wabash to two victories last week in NCAC play. The Little Giants defeated Earlham College 73-57 on Wednesday, then traveled to Kenyon to rally for an 87-81 victory.
The 6-5, 230-pounder scored a career-best 35 points in the Little Giants' victory over Earlham. He connected on 11-of-15 shots from the field, including all four of his three-point attempts in the victory. Zimmer became the seventh Wabash player to score at least 35 points in any conference game. The last to reach the 35-point plateau was Adonis Joseph '06, who scored 35 against Denison last season. Joseph is currently serving as an assistant coach for Wabash.
Zimmer hot hand in Saturday's win at Kenyon. He hit 10-of-12 shots from the field. He also handed out four assists while grabbing four rebounds in the Little Giants' victory.
